Supplements, Vitamins and Minerals

Gillian says: "After almost 20 years in private practice with clients, I am convinced that good nutrition is all about absorption and digestibility. Potency and dosage are not paramount, but absorption is key. That's why I only use powders, vegtable capsules with superfoods to aid digestibility, or CELLFOOD, which is a water based suplements for maximum absorbtion.

I want the best quality pure and natural ingredients when it comes to nutritional supplements and your body. I will not compromise. I am very clear and firm on absolute quality standards, since this is the cornerstone of my formulations. I want to bring out all the goodness of the nutrients."

Supplements

Gillian says: "My nutritional supplements are formulated with pure and simple whole foods from the Earth for maximum nutritional value, digestion and absorption."

Organic Energy Powder

Organic Energy Powder

Gillian's Organic Energy Powder is the perfect food for a healthy diet. It contains a wide range of high nutrient superfoods. Being food based the nutrients are highly absorbable and all work in synergy to enhance the effectiveness of each other.

Sprouted Millet and Quinoa Seeds
Research shows that during germination (sprouting) the nutritional value of seeds increases (1). more >>

Flax seeds
Flax seeds are high in essential fats content and mucilaginous properties. Dietary flaxseed has been shown to support the lipid profile of patients with hyperlipidaemia (high blood fats) and to modify cardiovascular risk factors favourably (2). Research also shows that the lignans in flax can reduce plasma cortisol during stress and may offer protection against free radicals (3, 4). The mucilaginous fibre in flax seeds means they are lubricating to the intestines, thus easing the transit of food and waste products through the digestive tract.

Barley grass
Barley grass contains antioxidants such as proanthocyanidins that can protect the cells from free radical damage and toxins. They also have immune supportive effects that can reduce the risk of inflammation (5)

Barley grass also contains the plant lunasin (6)

Natural Turbo Greens

Organic Turbo Greens

Gillian's Star Superfoods: Barley Grass, Wheat Grass, Spirulina, Bilberry

Gillian McKeith's Natural Turbo Greens is an excellent way to supplement your healthy diet with bio-available nutrients from a range of superfoods, specifically barley grass, wheat grass and spirulina.

Barley Grass
Barley grass contains certain antioxidants called proanthocyanidins that protect the cells from free radical damage. It also has immune affects that can reduce the risk of inflammation(1, 2). more >>

Barley grass may also assist digestion(3,4,5), constipation (6) influence LDL cholesterol and free radicals. (7)

Wheat Grass
Wheat grass is an overall general well being green superfood, like a multiple vitamin and mineral, rich in chlorophyll (8,9,10,11).

Bilberry
The dark blue/purple colour of blueberry is due to the anti-oxidant content, including proanthocyanidins and polyphenols (22). The anti-oxidants in these fruits have been found to affect memory (27) and the eyes (28)

Spirulina
Spirulina contains 60 - 70% protein including all the essential amino acids. In fact, spirulina is a perfect source of usable protein.

It also contains one of the highest concentrations of nutrients known in any food, plant, grain or herb, being rich in beta carotene, iron, magnesium, fatty acid GLA, chlorophyll, polysaccharides and phycocyanin.

Research has shown that spirulina can influence serum cholesterol levels(30).

Spirulina is a bio-available source of vitamin A (as beta-carotene) with many other beneficial effects (31,32,33,34,35,36,37,38).

Slim Plan

Slim Plan

Gillian's Star Superfoods: Walnut Bark, Almonds, Lemon Balm

The aim of this Slim Plan product is to aid weight loss and internal cleansing as part of a healthy diet and lifestyle.

The ingredients in the Slim Plan capsules have been chosen to give overall general support. The ingredients work together to aid bowel and liver cleansing, satiation, help to soothe the digestive tract and support immune function. more >>

Research has shown that overweight people are often deficient in vitamin C (1) and adequate vitamin C intake has now been linked to help with reduction in weight and improved health (2,3). Vitamin C is needed for the conversion of glucose into energy thus reducing the likelihood of glucose being stored as fat (4).

Almonds have a low glycaemic index, high fibre, essential fats and rich protein content (5, 6). Studies have shown that such nuts and seeds play an important role in weight maintenance (7, 8). Nuts have also been shown to contribute to reduction in the risk of developing type 2 diabetes (9)

Lemon balm is a source of antioxidants needed and may assist detoxification (10). It has also been shown to reduce stress (11), aid sleep, support mental clarity and promote relaxation (12, 13). This is important as weight gain has been found to be more prevalent among those who do not get adequate sleep (14) and that anxiety can lead to cravings (13). Lemon balm is particularly soothing to the digestive tract (15) and is thus helpful when following any cleansing programme. Lemon balm (16) may aid decongestion and clearing of damp from the body.

Walnut bark promotes clearance of waste via the liver and bowels and can act against many pathogenic invasions of the intestines due to its fibre and anthroquinone content (17,18). It has long been used by herbalists as a preventative against parasites.

The most important aspects of any weight loss or cleansing programme is the diet and exercise regime. A good diet should be high in whole foods including fruit, vegetables, nuts, seeds, pulses and whole grains alongside plenty of water and herbal teas. Avoid sugar, refined carbohydrates, alcohol, caffeine, salt, processed foods, fatty meats and additives. The Slim Plan capsules are designed to be used alongside these dietary and lifestyle measures.

Turbo Liquid Nutrient Shot

Turbo Liquid Nutrient Shot

Gillian's Star Superfood: Wild Blue Green Algae.

This Klamath Lake Algae with Bilberry & Cranberry is packed with minerals, proteins and phytonutrients from the earth and is easily absorbed into your body. Rejuvenate and regenerate your cells.

Gillian Says: "Many years ago, when I was presenting my radio programme, more >>

'Healthline Across America', a most fascinating guest appeared on my show. The radio guest claimed that wild blue green algae totally transformed his life to one of optimum health, well being and vitality. I started taking this algae and my own health sky-rocketed. So I made it my mission to learn everything that I could about wild blue green algae. This algae is known for drying damp and revitalising the body. It literally changed my life.

I was so impressed with the results of this superfood that I wrote a brief book called Miracle SuperFood: Wild Blue Green Algae. I have discovered that this algae is one of the purest foods on earth with the most absorbable phytonutrients. There is literally nothing else in the world like it. Wild blue green algae are the most chlorophyl-rich organisms on the planet. Due to the phytonutrient-density of the wild blue green algae, the delivery of nutrification to the bloodstream is unprecedented and unsurpassed. For example, wild blue green algae have the highest active vegetable source of vitamin B12 that I could find, in a form that the body can easily utilise.

Absorption is the key to nutritional health. The raw liquid algae have greater than 90% absorption and assimilation rate on vitamins, minerals, amino acids, fatty acids and other co-factors. Some might say that "You Are What You Eat", but I actually prefer to tell you that "You Are What You Absorb! One dropper (1ml) twice daily in your mouth will help you fell rejuvenated and regenerated over time.

In my practice I have been using this liquid wild blue green algae with my patients for years."
